| So why are so many Chinese people not in tune with hugs? Maybe it's just people are not as open and they want to be. And for some reason they think showing our emotions makes us weak. If you know about the Free Hugs project, it was a big success over in Australia, Europe, S Korea...but what happened when they tried it in China?

| My hard drive was running extremely low in free space so I've gone through my drive and I found my spiritual gift assesment test I took back in college. I'm still amazed by my top gifts:
Prophet - 20
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit empowers certain
Christians to interpret and apply God's revelation in a given situation.
See 1 Corinthians 14:1-5, 1 Corinthians 14:30-33, 1 Corinthians 14:37-40.
Exhortation - 18
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit enables certain Christians
to stand beside fellow Christians in need and bring comfort, counsel and
encouragement so they feel helped.
See Acts 11:23-24, Acts 14:21-22.
So after all these years I don't think I've made a prophecy yet...I wander how I even got that as my top gift. As for my second gift, I've received some encouraging words from brothers regarding exhortations. As for my least gift:
Craftsmanship - 7
It is the special gift whereby the Spirit endows certain Christians
to use hands and minds to build up the Kingdom through artistic, creative means.
See Exodus 28:3-4.
I guess no arts and crafts for me

| updated with photos actually displaying...
A retreat from couple of weeks ago was really refreshing. The theme was UNAFRAID. Most of us are undergoing constant change, and we explored some of the sources of our insecurities and what drove us into fear. The highlight was the labryinth. Basically we turned a garage into a holy place so that as we walk through the path of live that consists of twists and turns, but at the end we reach the prize: a cross in the center of the room where we can finally worship Chrsit.
Below are some pics to share
Carmel beach: nice view but very windy....

Did I mentioned it was chilly down there??

Jeannie decided to feed the squirrels. The were so aggressive one of them tried to jump Tracy, and she was scared...
That totally reminded me of when I got clawed by a squirrel back in Canada....

Jerry and I were trying out massage chairs, we almost fell asleep.

The guys...

And the gals...

Cafe Fina, as featured in Rachel Ray's $40/day show. Great food!

Here's another shot.

Read this and then check out the site...amazing!
And you thought those people that set up roomfuls of dominos to knock
over were amazing...There are no computer graphics or digital tricks in
the film. Everything you see really happened in real time exactly as you
see it. The film took 606 takes. On the first 605 takes something,
usually very minor, didn't work. They would then have to set the whole
thing up again.
The crew spent weeks shooting night and day. By the time it was over,
they were ready to change professions. The film cost six million
dollars and took three months to complete including full engineering of
the sequence.
In addition, it's two minutes long so every time Honda airs the film on
British television, they're shelling out enough dough to keep any one of
us in clover for a lifetime. However, it is fast becoming the most
downloaded advertisement in Internet history.
Honda executives figure the ad will soon pay for itself simply in "free
viewings" (Honda isn't paying a dime to have you watch this ommercial!).
When the ad was pitched to senior executives, they signed off on it
immediately without any hesitation - including the costs.
There are six, and only six, hand-made Honda Accords in the world. To
the horror of Honda engineers, the filmmakers disassembled two of them
to make the film.
Everything you see in the film (aside from the walls, floor, ramp, and
complete Honda Accord) is parts from those two cars. When the ad was
shown to Honda executives, they liked it and commented on how amazing
computer graphics have gotten. They fell off their chairs when they
found out it was for real.
Oh and about those funky windshield wipers. On the new Accords, the
windshield wipers have water sensors and are designed to start doing
their thing automatically as soon as they become wet. It looks a bit
weird in the commercial.

| For years Microsoft's been seen as lagging behind Google. But with their new live service, Google better come up with some answers. What I especially about live is the new street level map. It's not great, but definitely shows promise.
